Pre-requisites: An interactive approach between teachers and doctoral students is essential.

Course objectives: The doctoral student is qualified for using sources and scientific literature in independent study of the fundamental phenomena of European Visual Culture of the modern period.

Course description: Study of the concepts of European Visual Culture of the modern period. Focus of the research is directed towards identifying the basic ideological, theological, social, political and aesthetic concepts of the modern period Visual Culture in Europe, especially in Southeastern Europe.

Learning Outcomes: Learning about and understanding conceptual trends of European Visual Culture and awareness of their presence in various ideological, religious and political contexts.
