Pre-requisites: Regular class attendance; fulfillment of academic obligations; ability to conduct independent scientific work/research.

Course objectives: Expanding previous knowledge on the subject; applying the scientific method in working with historical sources; understanding the processes and issues in serbian and yugoslavian society, independent research and critically assessing literature.

Course description: The theoretical component will address the cultural and social history of Yugoslavia through lectures. The course will address events, people, historical processes, ideas, government and state issues, cultural and creative development. The objective for the practical component is to: master the scientific method, learn to independently conduct research and critically analyze historical sources(by type, content and origin) and literature; cultivate critical thinking and be able to concisely present one's opinion orally and in written form.

Learning Outcomes: Mastering the subject by issue will enable students to better comprehend the complexity of twentieth century history; mastering techniques in scientific research, cultivating scientific awareness, critical opinion and enriching students general and professional culture of the study of history.
