Pre-requisites: The corresponding year of studies, ie semester, regular attendance, active participation in the work on the sources and fulfillment of the planned pre-registration obligations.

Course objectives: Introduction to the organization and development of the Serbian medieval army. Acquiring basic knowledge of weapons and equipment. Developing the ability to critically approach and independently study sources of military history.

Course description: Theoretical teaching: Through lectures, students learn about the basic concepts of the Serbian medieval army, its organization and its historical development, as well as the sources for studying this topic. Practical teaching: Based on previous knowledge and acquired skills in critical approach to sources, students learn about and analyze in detail the selected sources for the military history of Serbian countries in the Middle Ages.

Learning Outcomes: Knowledge of the organization of the Serbian medieval army and its historical development. Acquiring the ability to determine the place and importance that the army occupied in Serbian medieval society and state.
