Pre-requisites: The student must fulfill requirements prescribed by the regulations of the Faculty of Philosophy in Belgrade. The presence on lectures and practical classes is obligatory.

Course objectives: The goal is the introducing students with origins, development and courses of ancient art, as well as the presenting of iconographic and stylistic characteristics of the works of art.

Course description: The course intend to present all the aspects of works of art and visual culture of Mesopotamia, Egypt, Persia, Jewish art and art of ancient Greece and Rome from $th Millennium BC to the 4th century AD. Practical segment are aimed at presenting representative examples in the museums, on the terrain as well as by online data bases.

Learning Outcomes: The understanding of main courses of development of ancient art and the knowledge of key works of art.
