Course objectives: To introduce students to the basic characteristics of local and international politics in Yugoslavia at the time; an in depth examination of essential historical texts and relevant scientific literature, contemporary directions and contemporary issues.

Course description: The theoretical component of this course is comprised of lectures on the international position of Yugoslavia at the end of the Second World War; Yugoslavia's relationship with countries to the East and West, cooperation and conflict with Balkan neighbors; position as a leader in the movement of recruiting third-world countries. We will examine the essence of the pacifist politics waged by Yugoslavia, Yugoslavia's opposition to raising arms, political interests, colonialism and block division of the world, as well as Yugoslavia's concrete actions and role in major crises of the Cold War. Practical component: mobilizing students to independently analyze historical sources and literature, critically think and present their findings in written and oral form.

Learning Outcomes: Mastering basic course materials on history of the Cold War, specifically focusing on Yugoslavia's role and place in European and world politics; and fundamental knowledge of historical international events that played out in a local framework (in Yugoslavia).
