History of the serbian people in the middle ages

Pre-requisites: Active class participation, consultations, seminar work/papers, working with sources.

Course objectives: Familiarizing students with sources from the Dubrovnik Archives which contain a rich fund of materials for the middle ages on our territories (mostly unpublished works), utilizing different types of documents, by examining their characteristics and information they provide.

Course description: Theoretical: through previous knowledge, lectures, historiography, related archives, structuring and organizing archival series doctoral candidates will be familiarized with the time period. Practical: students will have the opportunity to work with copies(images) of original sources(at least one of each type) and will be able to figure out what kind of data they can glean from each archival type.

Learning Outcomes: Knowledge on Dubrovnik Archive sources; the ability to conduct analysis independently on these sources.
