Pre-requisites: Admission requirements: language skills and competences which correspond to a high school (Russian as a foreign language) curriculum and/or match the A2 CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) level.

Course objectives: The course focuses on acquiring morphosyntactic and syntactic structures relevant to Russian for Academic Purposes in the Faculty of Philosophy specific fields of study. Developing receptive skills (reading and listening).

Course description: The course focuses on general academic topics. Language learning comprises developing grammar structures, reading, listening and general academic vocabulary of the Faculty of Philosophy specific fields of study.

Learning Outcomes: Upon the completion of the course, the students will have acquired enough knowledge of grammar and vocabulary pertaining to their respective fields of study so as to be able to read, understand and summarize the content of specific field-related materials. Their overall degree of Russian language competence should match the B1+ to B2 CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages)level.
