Research Methods: Medieval History

Pre-requisites: Students in graduate level studies should possess knowledge of the physical geography and political history of the territories on the Balkan peninsula. Regular class attendance will be required as well as active participation in class and labs, and consultations.

Course objectives: The objective of this course is to prepare students for independent scientific research in the historical sciences.

Course description: This course addresses issues in methods of research with historical sources, methods in historical-geographical research, and provides insight into fundamental concepts in the philosophy of history.

Learning Outcomes: Students should be prepared to conduct independent scientific research in the historical sciences.
