Course objectives: Studying the adult education of communication and media in interdisciplinary relation; critical reflection on scientific research of educational problems in the context of theories, theoretical perspectives and research in the communications and media studies.

Course description: Theoretical course. The content includes a few problem units – Theories of communications and media in the context of adult educational relevancy. – The theory and the concepts of communication/media education of adults; - Historical-philosophical and international dimensions of scientific research of educational problems of communication and media; - Communication competences of scientists; - Communication and media culture; - Public appearances, presentation and application of findings and results of personal and someone else’s scientific research. – Modern research trends and methodological solutions – world relations. Practical course: Designing and critical analysis of research projects in particular areas.

Learning Outcomes: Student: - Reflects on the theories of communication and media education and learning of adults in interdisciplinary context – Designs, realizes, creatively places and applies scientific research according to actual needs and world research trends in this area.
