Course objectives: Advanced training of students on possibilities for application of quantitative and qualitative researches in Andragogy.

Course description: Theoretical teaching: theoretical and epistemological basis of quantitative and qualitative researches in Andragogy. Nature and characteristics of knowledge in Andragogy and quantitative and qualitative researches. Research strategies and ethical specificities of quantitative and qualitative researches. Sources of knowledge and nature of data. Project design in quantitative and qualitative researches, characteristics and differences. Subject, aim, tasks, hypothesis, indicators, samples, techniques and instruments. Operacionalization, levels of measurement and scales of measurement in adult education research. Approaches to classification, analysis and interpretation of data. Practical teaching: Construction of instrument. Writing reports on conducted research. Application and combining of quantitative and qualitative methods and techniques in concrete researches in Andragogy.

Learning Outcomes: Training students for independent scientific research work, proper usage of theoretical grounds and quantitative and qualitative methods and techniques.
