Course objectives: Students learn to: critically evaluate different theoretical orientations and methodological approaches in the concepts of research education for family life, independent research and development of programs for improve the quality of life in the family

Course description: Theoretical course: The concept and nature of family life education; Development family life education; Aspects of family life as an area of ??educational intervention in family (marriage and intimate relationships, sexuality, parenting, family resource management, communication and problem solving, living environment); Programs for different aspects of family life: development, implementation, evaluation; The role of values, ethnicity, religion and gender sensitivity in creating educational programs for family life; Professionalization and preparation of educators: educational paradigms - behavioral, developmental, systematic research paradigm and eclectic approach; Practical classes: Critical and comparative analysis of different models of family life education programs

Learning Outcomes: Student knows contemporary trends in research of family life and family education programs, she/he is able to explore the possibilities of education as tool for development of various aspects of family life, to implement procedures for evaluating the goals, content and outcomes of educational programs for the family
