Course objectives: The goal of course is to introduce students to scientific research of African cultures, specifically in the anthropological study of cultural contacts, ethno-cultural and religious history of the continent.

Course description: Ethno-cultural history of Africa. Introduction to the anthropological study of Africa. Anthropology of Africa before and after the colonial constellation. The contemporary African culture.

Learning Outcomes: The expected outcome is that of a competent and independent research relevant to the studying of African cultures.
